Capt. Mahmoud Ismail
Holding a Master’s in Marine Environmental Protection and over 20 years of experience at the Ministry of Environment, plays a vital role in managing the center’s daily operations. His responsibilities include planning training programs, overseeing equipment maintenance, and preparing oil contingency plans for oil companies. He previously served as the National Coordinator for the National Oil Spill Contingency Plan and has delivered extensive training in response and crisis management.

Dr. Ehsan Elhady
Executive Director of the El Salam Oil Spill Control and GreenPlus, has 28 years of experience in nature conservation and oil spill response, serving in many incidents as an On-Scene Commander. His leadership is essential to the center’s daily management, overseeing training programs, equipment maintenance, and the preparation of oil contingency plans for oil companies, while also setting the strategic policies that guide the center’s operations.

Bassam Salah
Shift Manager at a Marine Pollution Control Center, oversees daily operations and ensures readiness for pollution incidents. He supervises all operation and maintenance teams, enforces international marine pollution standards, and manages logistics—including equipment, vehicles, protective gear, and supplies. Bassam coordinates transportation, storage, and inventory of essential items like booms, dispersants, and fuel. He has over 12 years of experience in marine pollution management and center operations.

Eng. Ahmed Ismail
Pollution Control Engineer with strong experience in environmental protection and safety. A Mechanical Engineering graduate from Port Said University (2014), he plays a key role at the El-Salam Tier 2 Oil Spill Response Center, leading operations, maintaining response equipment, and supporting training activities. He previously served at the Suez Canal Container Terminal and holds certifications in shoreline supervision, oil spill equipment maintenance, IMS 100, IMO OPRC Levels 1 and 2, first aid, firefighting, and incident investigation.
